Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died in Newcastle in County Down.
It happened at about 22:30 BST in Slievenabrock Avenue on Sunday.
Officers will continue to be in and around the area throughout the day and cordons remain in place, police said.
PSNI Det Ch Insp Kerrie Foreman said the news would cause “shock and concern” in the close-knit community of Newcastle.
“Our enquiries are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who believes they may have information which could assist us with our investigation, any dashcam or doorbell footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1746 24/08/25,” she added.
