Etna is one of the world’s most active volancoes

Etna is one of the world’s most active volcanoes.

It previously erupted on February 11, spewing hot ash and lava from the 3,400m volcano.

The spectacular sight attracted tourists who wanted to catch a glimpse of the eruption up close.

Mount Etna erupts in Sicily

Italy’s Mount Etna has erupted in Sicily, sending tourists visiting the world famous landmark fleeing for safety.

Huge black clouds of smoke can be seen for miles after the strombolian explosion.

Volanic tremors were felt before the blast between 10pm Sunday and 1am Monday, local time.
