The Commonwealth Games continue in Glasgow, with the athletics schedule getting under way and plenty of other medals up for grabs around the venues.
There is more cricket with the Hundred men’s and women’s double header between Southern Brave and MI London at Southampton.
Here is what is happening in the sporting world on Monday – and where you can catch the action in the UK.
Glasgow gets back on track
The athletics Commonwealth Games schedule gets under way on Monday morning, with the finals taking place later in the evening session.
After defending women’s 10,000 metres champion Eilish McColgan was forced to withdraw through injury, Megan Keith will be looking to keep the home flag flying at Scotstoun Stadium.
Over in the pool, England’s Adam Ramsay-Peaty will be hoping to add another medal in the men’s 50m breaststroke, having taken bronze in the 100m event on Saturday night.
There is netball action with England, Northern Ireland and hosts Scotland all continuing their group stage matches, as well as the individual apparatus finals of the artistic gymnastics.

MI London go again at Southern Brave
MI London men’s side will be out to get their Hundred campaign up and running again on Monday night when they face Southern Brave at the Utilita Bowl, having slipped to a 15-run defeat against Welsh Fire in Cardiff on Saturday.
The men’s match is live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Cricket from 6pm.
Southern Brave Women have won both of their matches so far and start the action in Southampton on Sky Sports Cricket from 2.45pm and on Sky Sports Main Event at 3pm.
There is also the first Test between West Indies and Pakistan, which continues on TNT Sports 4 from 2.30pm.
What else is happening on Monday?
Early birds can catch the Shanghai Masters snooker on TNT Sports 1 from 7am and 12.30pm, as well as on HBO Max.
There is horse racing with meetings on the flat at Southwell, Ayr, Ripon and Windsor, with coverage on Sky Sports Racing from 2pm.
Later on Monday, there is tennis at the Washington Open, with coverage on Sky Sports Tennis from 4pm and Sky Sports Main Event at 11pm.

2012: The London Olympic Games officially got under way with a lavish opening ceremony at the Olympic Stadium. The four-hour extravaganza – entitled Isles of Wonder – was directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle and featured more than 7,000 performers, plus a cameo by the Queen. It was seen by an estimated worldwide TV audience of 900 million.
2023: Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson’s move to Al-Ettifaq was confirmed. Henderson faced criticism for moving to Saudi Arabia and ended his lucrative three-year deal early to move to Dutch side Ajax in January 2024.
