A wrong-way minibus driver smashed head-on into a driver near Sherborne, Dorset, in September 2023, newly-released footage shows.
Benjamin Charles Foster, 35, of Yeovil, Somerset, was driving a red Ford Transit minibus when he crossed into a filter lane as if to turn right before continuing onward towards oncoming traffic and collided with the red Toyota Yaris. A red Volkswagen Polo, travelling behind the Yaris, consequently collided with the rear of the Yaris.
A man in his 60s and man and a woman, both aged in their late teens, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Foster pleaded guilty at Bournemouth Crown Court on Wednesday, 16 April 2025, to two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance.
