Rock legend Sir Mick Jagger has celebrated his 83rd birthday, receiving warm wishes from his Rolling Stones bandmates, both past and present.
The milestone comes just weeks after the iconic group unveiled their latest studio album, Foreign Tongues, on 10 July.
Guitarist Ronnie Wood, 79, marked the occasion on his Instagram story, sharing a unique painting he created of the “Brown Sugar” singer, accompanied by a simple “happy birthday” message.
Meanwhile, fellow guitarist Keith Richards posted a classic black-and-white photograph of the duo, adding the heartfelt caption: “Wishing Mick a happy birthday! One love, Keith.”
Former Stones bassist Bill Wyman, 89, who left the band in the early 1990s having been a founding member, said in a post on social media: “Happy 83rd Birthday. I’ve been there, it ain’t that bad. Wishing you many more. Love Bill.”
Wyman made a guest return to the band on 2023’s Hackney Diamonds album, where he played bass on ‘Live By The Sword’.
Sir Mick’s fiancee, ballerina Melanie Hamrick, posted: “Happy birthday my love, to more adventures, laughs and fun.”
A post on the Stones’ official Instagram account read: “Happy Birthday, Mick.
“You continue to inspire generations with your energy, creativity and unmistakable spirit – there is no one quite like you. Wishing you an amazing day.”
The post was accompanied by several pictures of Sir Mick through the years.

Singer-songwriter Lisa Fischer, who has regularly toured with the band since 1989, commented on the post: “Here here, Mick is da man. Beautiful post, happy blessed birthday Mick.”
The Rolling Stones’ latest album features guest appearances from former Beatles bass player Sir Paul McCartney, The Cure’s Robert Smith and former Spencer Davis Group and Traffic musician Steve Winwood.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time, The Rolling Stones have achieved eight UK number one singles and 14 UK number one albums, their best known songs include ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’, ‘Start Me Up’ and ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’.
The Stones’ line-up on their first album included Sir Mick, guitarist Richards, bassist Wyman, drummer Charlie Watts, who died in 2021, and guitarist Brian Jones, who died in 1969.
Jones was succeeded on guitar by Mick Taylor for a classic run of critically acclaimed albums, which included Let It Bleed (1969), Sticky Fingers (1971) and Exile On Main Street (1972), before former Faces guitarist Wood joined the band in 1975.
