After Michigan dismantled Washington 34-13 in the CFP National Championship game, Wolverines’ quarterback JJ McCarthy got a victory-laden kiss from longtime girlfriend Katya Kuropas.
Kuropas and McCarthy have been dating since 2018, when he was a high-school sophomore.
While decked out in Michigan’s newly released national-championship hat and full pads, McCarthy found Kuropas among the front row of fans. She leaned far over the barricade and gave her boyfriend a big smooch.
After the kiss, Kuropas had some passionate words for McCarthy, as she’s been by his side for every snap he’s taken as Michigan’s quarterback.
What Kuropas said is unknown, but she lovingly held McCarthy’s chin while saying it.

Kuropas has been in the spotlight as the girlfriend of the quarterback of one of the most prestigious programs in college football.
During Michigan’s appearance in last year’s the CFP Semifinals against TCU, Jim McCarthy, JJ’s father, appeared to bump his hand into Kuropas’ rear end, before then dragging his finger on her behind as well.
McCarthy nor Kuropas never addressed the incident caught by ESPN’s cameras last season publicly, but the pictures paint a pretty awkward scene.
Yet, Kuropas and McCarthy have been going strong, vacationing in Tulum, Mexico last offseason.
McCarthy still has one year of eligibility remaining at Michigan as the team looks to win back-to-back national titles for the first time since 1947 and 1948.
As the Wolverines welcome national-runner-up Washington into the Big Ten this fall, Kuropas will surely be back in the stands supporting McCarthy.
