NFL great Michael Strahan has forged a stellar career away from football as a co-host on Good Morning America. But the popular presenter might be considering leaving his role behind.
In an interview on New Heights this week with Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, Strahan opened up on balancing his GMA commitments with his work as an NFL analyst with Fox.
‘I love Fox,’ he told the Kelce brothers. ‘I truly love that. But you work so much, I want to go here, I want to go there, and I can’t do a lot of things because I’ve got these commitments and schedules and stuff.
‘At this point, I have to look at time lived and time left.’
And the 54-year-old, a Super Bowl winner with the New York Giants and a Hall of Famer, will always choose his first love when it comes down to a difficult decision about how he spends his time.
‘I’m not just going to completely disappear,’ Strahan said. ‘I’ll do Fox until they throw me off of Fox.

‘I don’t want to be 80 years old on Fox, but I’ll stick around a little bit longer.’
It’s not the first time that he has been linked with leaving GMA. He signed new terms with the ABC show last summer but with a lighter schedule in order to free up his personal time.
He first appeared on the show in 2014 and stepped up to make his position a full-time one in 2016.
In recent years, Strahan has had more to contend with than most even with two high-profile jobs to manage.
One of his daughters, Isabella, was diagnosed a rare form of brain cancer at the age of 19. After undergoing chemotherapy, she was declared cancer-free in late 2024.
