Maya Jama has hinted that she is taking Portuguese lessons amid rumours of a new romance with Manchester City star Ruben Dias.
Jama took to the red carpet for last night’s BRIT Awards, dazzling fans at the O2 Arena in a stunning black dress.
The Love Island host then took to Instagram after the event, which saw Charli XCX and Brat win big, posting a clip of her sipping on a coconut cocktail.
In the background of the Instagram story, a voice reported by Game Set & Match to be that of Dias’ can be heard in conversation with Jama, who is speaking back to the defender in Portuguese.
Jama added fuel to speculation that her relationship with her new beau is getting serious, captioning the post: ‘Lessons have started.’
Dias would have made quick time travelling down to London to meet Jama after the BRITs, having played his part in Man City’s FA Cup fifth round win over Plymouth earlier that day.
The high-profile would-be couple are still yet to go public, but they have been linked ever since being spotted celebrating New Year’s Eve together in Ibiza.

They reportedly have been secretly dating for a couple of months, after Jama, 30, first caught the Portuguese’s eye when they met at the European Music Awards.
Rumours of the romance only intensified in the days following Valentine’s Day after the presenter shared the bouquet of roses she received on her return to the UK from Cape Town following the conclusion of the 2025 Love Island All Star season.
The pair were then spotted wearing matching Cartier ‘LOVE’ bracelets, which were listed at £5,050 on the store’s website.
Jama was seen wearing the pricey gift in the Instagram post before Dias was spotted wearing the same item as he arrived for training ahead of City’s Champions League play-off second leg against Real Madrid.
A source previously told The Sun: ‘Maya and Ruben swapped details at the EMAs and have chatted since, but things went up a gear in early December.
‘When Ruben got injured and had to miss the congested new year fixtures, he jumped at the chance to see in 2025 with Maya in Spain. Spending New Year’s Eve together was a real step forward in their relationship.
‘They get on really well and obviously make a gorgeous couple, but it’s early days.’
Jama will look gee Dias up for the rest of the season as his City side push for a Champions League place amid strong competition from a number of Premier League sides.
