- Nathan Cleary has shared several snaps of himself ‘charging up the batteries’
- He and Mary Fowler were pictured enjoying a recovery retreat in Burleigh
It’s been a busy few months for Panthers superstar Nathan Cleary who has been enjoying some well earned rest and relaxation during the NRL off-season.
Fresh from leading Penrith to their fourth successive premiership title in October, Cleary jetted off to Europe to spend some time with his girlfriend Mary Fowler.
The Aussie sporting power couple have shared multiple snaps of their vacation, with the duo pictured travelling around the UK and heading further afield to Mallorca for a beachy getaway.
Cleary also followed Fowler to Switzerland to watch the Matildas forward take on the La Nati, while posting snaps of himself enjoying a dip in a Swiss lake.
Since then, Cleary, 27, has returned from Europe and has undergone surgery on a trouble shoulder injury that has plagued him over the past two seasons.
As he looks to get back to full fitness as quickly as possible, he has been using an unconventional recovery strategy that involves sea moss and at times, a carnivore diet, that includes four steaks a day and a helping of bone broth.
As he continues his recovery, the footy star appears to have recently taken a trip up to Burleigh with his girlfriend Mary Fowler.

Cleary captioned the Instagram post: ‘Charging the Batteries, with Fowler commenting: ‘Hi handsome,’ adding a ‘love letter’ emoji.
It is understood it will take around three to four months for Cleary to be fit enough to return to full training but has been gradually upping his training load of late.
‘It’s pretty much a three or four-month recovery, so it’s been good so far,’ he said.
‘I’m slowly ticking the boxes, and then it’ll start ramping up after Christmas,’ Cleary said.
‘I’m a little bit ahead of schedule, which is cool.’
It comes after Fowler ruled herself out of the Matildas’ recent international fixtures in November against Brazil and Chinese Taipei.
On making the decision, Fowler had cited a need for her to look after her mental and physical wellbeing, having had a busy start to the 2024-25 season with both the Matilda’s and Manchester City.

Since returning to action, Fowler has been in flying form for City, having scored against Leicester in their 4-0 Women’s Super League win two weeks ago.
She struck again on Sunday, scoring a penalty in their 2-1 Women’s Super League clash defeat by Everton.
Despite the defeat, City stay second in the WSL standings, six points behind Chelsea who occupy the top rung of the table and one point ahead of Arsenal.
City are in European action on Wednesday night, with Fowler’s side travelling to take on Barcelona in the Champions League, before the winter break.
