Nearly one year after breaking her toe in a courtside collision at Madison Square Garden, Martha Stewart got the chance to ‘confront’ New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson.
Stewart was watching on from The World’s Most Famous Arena in an NBA playoff game last year against the Indiana Pacers.
In that contest, Brunson collided with Stewart and broke her big toe in the process.
Almost a year later, Stewart appeared on the ‘Roommates Show’ that Brunson co-hosts with fellow Knicks star Josh Hart.
‘It wasn’t your fault,’ Stewart told Brunson. ‘It was my fault for wearing open-toed shoes.’
She remembered, ‘You jumped up really fast and I remember saying, “It’s okay.” But you had no idea that you had hurt me. I said it was okay, but it wasn’t okay at all.’

Brunson admitted that he still doesn’t feel ‘too great’ about the incident nearly a year later
The 84-year-old visited New York City’s Hospital for Special Surgery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
There, doctors confirmed Stewart had a fracture: ‘They’ve named it the Stewart-Brunson fracture,’ she joked.
‘I have an X-ray, I’m going to leave you a picture of it. It was actually a break, so anyways, it’s better now. It took one year to heal.’
Stewart now looks back at that evening as something ‘silly, stupid and funny.’
The 84-year-old Stewart recalled that Brunson called her over FaceTime to apologize and that he ‘sent me a basketball for my grandson.’
Even though he’s been forgiven, Brunson admitted he still doesn’t feel ‘too great’ about the situation.
But Stewart was more lighthearted: ‘Have you broken anyone else’s toes?’ she joked. Brunson replied, ‘Not that I know of.’
