Mariah Carey was radiant in a sheer floral corset gown at a gala ahead of Sunday’s Grammys.
The iconic songstress was pictured in the elaborate black gown on the red carpet of Friday’s Person of the Year gala in Los Angeles.
The sheer, bustier-lined gown boasted black lace and a small train. She layered the transparent look over a black off the shoulder crop top and black briefs, and amped up the glamour with a dazzling diamond necklace, diamond earrings, and stacked diamond bangles.
The “All I Want For Christmas is You” hitmaker styled her long, blond locks in soft curls while showing off the skin-baring look for photographers.
Carey, 56, was also pictured inside the event graciously accepting the evening’s honor and confessing she felt “just blessed to be here.”
“Standing her tonight, surrounded by so many friendly and familiar faces — people I’ve worked with, people I’ve long admired. Even people I thought I’d never see again,” she quipped.
“So much love,” she continued. “So much music. It’s overwhelming in the best possible way.”
Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Momsen, Billy Porter, and the Foo Fighters lent their talents for performances at the high-profile event.
Celebs including Charlie Puth, Rita Wilson, Adam Lambert, Kesha, and Dove Cameron made appearances the event, as well.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be here with all these magnificent artists singing my songs back to me, infusing them with their own artistry and giving them all new life,” Carey said during her acceptance speech.
On social media, fans gushed over the iconic diva’s career and influence.
“In a way, because of the breadth and depth of the event, I finally feel like Mariah has been truly acknowledged and honored in the way that she deserves,” a third chimed in. “And for that, I thank @MusiCares too. And she looks breathtaking.”
This isn’t the first time the legendary songstress has dared to bare her legs in a sheer corset dress — she modeled a barely-there Schiaparelli bronze corset with a matching sheer skirt at the Recording Academy Honors in February 2024.
