Lessons in Lifestyle

College basketball fans are preparing for their favorite time of the year as the March Madness tournament is set to kick off this week with its first round of games.

Every year, the NCCA selects 68 Division 1 College basketball teams to participate in a single-elimination tournament throughout the month of March, with the men’s and women’s competitions held simultaneously.

Millions of people attempt to guess exactly how the tournament will shake out by creating their own bracket, predicting the results of each game until there’s one final winner.

While basketball fans may be ready to cheer on their favorite school, they can also enjoy some of the restaurant promotions that come with the big sporting event.

From Buffalo Wild Wings to Red Robin, here are all the best food deals during March Madness.

Buffalo Wild Wings

For tournament days, the chain is offering 20 boneless wings, large fries and four dips ranging from $17.99-$19.99, or traditional bone-in wings from $21.99-$24.99 using the Buffalo Wild Wings app or website.

KFC

KFC is offering its own deal on wings during March Madness, with 20 wings for $20 available online, in the chicken chain’s app and in-store.

Insomnia Cookies

From March 17 through March 20, the cookie chain will be offering a buy-one, get-one deal on its Classic cookies to anyone wearing college team apparel in-store.

Red Robin

Throughout the tournament, the fast casual restaurant chain is celebrating with five pounds of wings to-go for $49.99 in addition to offering a new $12 speciality burger for each week during the tournament — plus one week after.

Taco Bell

Through Grubhub, the fast food chain is offering a different reward for each week of the tournament. For the first and second rounds, customers can receive a free Chalupa Supreme on orders of $20 or more. For the Sweet 16 and the Elite 8, the reward becomes a free chicken or cheese quesadilla on orders of $22 or more.

The semifinal reward is a free Beefy Five-Layer Burrito on orders of $22 or more, and the final reward is a free order of nacho fries with the purchase of any taco and is $20 or more.

Moe’s Southwest Grill

The Tex-Mex chain will be offering $5 off orders of $20 or more from March 19 through 22 and March 26 through 29.

Wendy’s

Wendy’s is celebrating March Madness with its Dunks menu running in the store’s app from March 16 through April 6, where customers will automatically be entered to win $100,000, plus limited edition prizes, such as custom sneakers.

The fast food chain is also holding a Dunks for America promotion that will be launched when the first slam dunk takes place on the court during the men’s or women’s championship games. The deal includes a free Hot & Crispy Fries and a small chocolate or vanilla Frosty Classic in-restaurant April 7.
