Why the early kick-off?
I know what you are thinking… ‘why have we got a 12.30pm game on a Sunday?’
It’s a valid question, and I’m here to answer it.
Basically, treat today like it’s a Saturday because the schedule of the day is what we would usually get yesterday.
It’s like this because, unless you are living under a rock, you will know that it was the FA Cup final yesterday, and well, when that game is on, the Premier League comes to a halt.
Nevertheless, without the top flight, it was still a very fun day, unless you were a Chelsea fan at Wembley. City took home their second trophy of the season at the national stadium, and well, judging by the celebrations, they are by no means finished yet.
They were the favourites coming into today’s FA Cup final, with Chelsea having an arduous time of it of late. However, it was far from easy for City.
Chelsea put in one of their best performances of the season, pushing Pep Guardiola’s side all the way, but they were undone by a moment of magic from Antoine Semenyo less than 20 minutes from time.
His cheeky flick proved to be the winner, and now City remain in the hunt for a domestic treble.
But now it’s time for their rivals to take centre stage.
