Manchester United youngster Toby Collyer played a heroic role in the win over Fulham with a late goal line clearance.
Ruben Amorim’s side returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a much-needed 1-0 victory at Craven Cottage.
Lisandro Martinez’s deflected strike inthe 78th minute proved to be the difference in west London – but the match could have ended differently.
Collyer, who replaced Manuel Ugarte two minutes earlier , was instrumental as he cleared Joachim Andersen’s header off the line with three minutes remaining.
The midfielder was immediately congratulated by team-mates Martinez, Leny Yoro, Martinez and Harry Maguire, who all knew the significance of the clearance.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Collyer said: ‘I remember clearing it and thinking it went over. But luckily it hadn’t. The most important is we did it as a team together.’
