Manchester United have agreed a pre-contract for 17-year-old defensive midfielder Cristian Orozco from Fortaleza in Colombia.
The teenager has represented his country at various age groups up to U17 level and was part of the Colombia side that reached the final of the CONMEBOL South American Championships earlier this year.
Orozco is expected to officially move to Old Trafford in July, once he has turned 18.
Though he may spend some time in the youth set-up at United, he could be an option in what has become a struggling midfield at United under Ruben Amorim.
The likes of Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo have struggled to live up to expectations, while Bruno Fernandes has often played deeper to accomodate Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation.
Casemiro has improved, but was sent of against Chelsea last time out.

United have also been giving a trial to Senegal U17 captain Mouhamed Dabo from Be Sport Academy in recent weeks.
United signed 18-year-old full back Diego Leon from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno in July, after agreeing a similar pre-contract agreement with him last January.
United agreed a £3.3million fee, rising to £7m with add-ons, for Leon who has twice been in Ruben Amorim’s matchday squad this season, but has yet to make his debut.
Former United goalkeeper Tom Wooster, meanwhile, has been training with West Ham U21s.
Wooster, 20, joined United from Barnsley in 202 but was released at the end of last season.
