A 32-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murder after a man was fatally stabbed in west Belfast on Thursday.
Martin Lowry, of no fixed abode, appeared before Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Saturday charged with murder and possession of a blade or point.
Shane Lowry, who was in his 30s, died following the incident in Mulberry Park in Twinbrook.
During the brief hearing Mr Lowry, who was dressed in a grey tracksuit, spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.
The judge asked if there was a connection between the accused and the victim. The court heard that they were brothers.
Police told the court they could connect Mr Lowry to the charges.
There was no application for bail and Mr Lowry is due to appear in court again on 15 September.
