A 33-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Wayne Reid in Coleraine, County Londonderry.

He is due to appear before Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The body of the 43-year-old victim was found at a house in Society Court in the town on 12 January.

Six other people – a man, aged 41, and five women aged 19, 33, 38, 39 and 45 – are still being questioned in connection with Mr Reid’s murder.

Detectives were granted a court extension on Sunday to continue questioning three people for an additional 36 hours.

The two women, aged 39 and 33, and a man, aged 41, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday.

On Saturday, a 19-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of murder, and a 28-year-old woman, who was arrested on Friday, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Two women, aged 45 and 38, also remain in custody.
