Police were called to Napiershall Street in the city’s West End

A 38-year-old man has died after being found injured on a Glasgow street on Christmas Day.

Police Scotland received a report of an injured man on Napiershall Street, near Great Western Road in the city’s west end, at about 23:40.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Napiershall Street and North Woodside Road have been closed while police investigate the incident.

Officers remained at the scene on Boxing Day, with a cordon shutting off the area to the public.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are following a positive line of inquiry and there will be a continued police presence in the area.

“Anyone with any concerns can approach these officers.”
