The transfer window is open and here are today’s developments from Daily Mail Sport’s Simon Jones – including the latest on Flamengo’s move for Lucas Paqueta and Aston Villa’s attempt to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Fulham close in as Bobb eyes Etihad exit

Fulham are closing on the signing of Manchester City attacking midfielder Oscar Bobb.

The clubs have been discussing a fee around £30milion for the 22-year-old Norway international and terms are expected to be closed early this week.

Manager Pep Guardiola said: ‘I don’t know yet about the transfer. There are rumours, and I know he is talking, but I don’t know at the moment. Does he want to leave? I think so…’

Fulham are continuing to negotiate with PSV Eindhoven for Ricardo Pepi after making their improved offer of £28m for the USA international striker, as reported by Daily Mail Sport.

Paqueta on the brink of Flamengo return

Flamengo are optimistic of reaching agreement with West Ham today for the purchase of Lucas Paqueta.

The Brazilians offered £35.8million on Sunday and talks were continuing about the structure of the deal with the 28-year-old eager to leave this month. The Brazilian window closes in March.

West Ham have asked about Atalanta’s Sweden international Isak Hien. The 27-year-old centre-back can also play at right-back but has been out of the starting line-up lately. West Ham have proposed a loan with fee and an obligation to buy if they stay up.

They have considered Joel Ordonez of Club Brugge among a long list of names but he is considered unrealistic.

Guido Rodriguez has joined Valencia for a small fee while talks continue with Fulham for Adama Traore with a £1m fee plus further £1m on staying up. The winger has been offered a six month deal with option for further 12 months.

Chelsea bring back Anselmino as defensive cover

Chelsea have recalled Aaron Anselmino from his loan at Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old had made 10 appearances on loan with the Bundesliga side. Chelsea remain eager to add a centre back this window but talks with Rennes for Jeremy Jacquet are proving difficult as anticipated.

The French side are reluctant to lose the 20-year-old this month.

Option to buy Loftus-Cheek on the table for Villa

Aston Villa are continuing talks with AC Milan for Ruben Loftus-Cheek. A Villa delegation met the Italians last week in a bid to get the 30-year-old on loan with an option to buy.

Discussions are continuing over the structure of a deal with Milan looking for a permanent sale. Villa captain John McGinn could be out for up to two months with a knee injury.

Cherries close in on Semenyo replacement

Rayan will undergo his Bournemouth medical on Monday.

The 19-year-old Vasco da Gama winger is flying into the UK today as scheduled.

The fee is £24.7million with a potential £5.6m in add-ons with no percentage of any future sale.

Rayan has agreed personal terms and will sign a five-and-a-half year contract.

Sunderland face stiff competition for Bundesliga star

Sunderland have enquired about Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Jonas Omlin however, they face competition from Bayer Leverkusen.

It comes as Millwall are in talks with Sunderland to sign goalkeeper Anthony Patterson on loan.

The 25-year-old has been told he can leave once Sunderland line up a replacement.

Promotion hopefuls Boro agree deal for Brighton’s Sarmiento

Middlesbrough are completing a deal for Brighton winger Jeremy Sarmiento. The 23-year-old will sign on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy for £3.2m plus add-ons. Bristol City want Boro forward Delano Burgzorg.

Sheffield Wednesday captain Barry Bannan is to undergo a medical at Millwall today. The 36-year-old has been offered an 18-month contract.

Reading are signing Accrington Stanley defender Benn Ward after agreeing £450,000 fee.

Alao waves Wednesday farewell

Sheffield Wednesday defender Yisa Alao has bid farewell to the club ahead of his move to Chelsea.

As Daily Mail Sport reported, the 17-year-old, who is due to join for an initial £600,000 plus substantial add ons which could rise to £6million, said on his Instagram: ’10 years, endless memories, from the staff, to my teammates, to the fans, forever grateful. Thank you, Sheffield Wednesday.’
