Reijnders is coming off the back of an impressive campaign for the Serie A outfit in which he contributed 15 goals and five assists in 54 appearances in all competitions.
Milan may have only finished eighth in the table but the Dutchman’s performances saw him named the Serie A midfielder of the season.
City will also push to sign Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves and have also agreed to sign Sheffield Wednesday teenage striker Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri.
Opposition analyst James French is set to leave Liverpool for City too.
