A man in his 60s and a dog have died after they were struck by a car at a busy junction.
The black vehicle hit the pedestrian and the animal after a crash with another car while driving south on Greenwood Drive in Wythenshawe, Manchester, and on to Hollyhedge Road at about 17:00 GMT on Sunday, Greater Manchester Police said.
A woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on bail.
The force has appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
The car that struck the man and the dog had collided with a car on the opposite side of the road at the junction, which is crossed by tram tracks, the force said.
Officers have asked any witnesses, or anyone with any dash cam or doorbell footage of the crash to contact them.
