Man and dog found dead after canal boat fire in Standish | Manchester News

The body of a man and his dog have been found after a fire on a canal boat in the early hours of Christmas Day.

The remains were discovered in Crooke Hall Moorings, Standish, Greater Manchester, at about 03:30 GMT.

Formal identification is due to take place by Greater Manchester Police.

Officers said they were conducting investigations at the scene.
