A pedestrian has died following a crash on the M60, police have said.
Emergency services were called shortly before 04:00 BST to reports of a collision between junction 21 for Chadderton and Oldham, and the Ashton-under-Lyne turn-off at junction 23.
A 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
Part of the M60 was closed for several hours. GMP has appealed for anyone who might have witnessed the crash, or have footage from the area in the moments leading up to it, to come forward.
