Logan Paul weighed in on the Luigi Mangione story, pointing out what shocked him most about the arrest after the latter allegedly gunned down Brian Thompson.
Mangione, 26, returned to New York on Thursday to face charges for the killing of former UnitedHealthcare exec Thompson, 50, on December 4th in Midtown Manhattan.
After Impaulsive co-host Mike Majlak recounted the events leading to Mangione’s arrest, Paul questioned what Mangione thought would happen to him aside from facing a long time in jail.
‘It seems like a little bit of a futile mission,’ Paul said. ‘Incredibly short-sighted, as f***, which is crazy for an Ivy League student.’
His co-host Maljak agreed and said that Mangione’s story shows that violence in response to a disagreement does not solve much
‘He’s strolling up the street and a man came up behind him,’ Majlak narrated. ‘With a 3D-printed gun, with a silencer on it, shot it once, it jammed, cleared it, shot it, jammed, cleared it, shot it, assassination on video, that’s incredible. You don’t see that often.

‘He goes on this manhunt, right? And there’s all this lore; the words on the bullets, the monopoly money in the bag, McDonald’s,’ he continued. ‘When you think about it, there’s so much Americana attached to this assassination.
After Majlak paused, Paul questioned where the traces of Mangione began.
‘He’s anti-healthcare? Then why was he at McDonald’s? McDonald’s is not very healthy,’ the YouTuber asked.
‘Cause he’s anti-healthcare,’ Majlak responded quickly. ‘Anything is anti-health.’
Their silence was broken by chuckles before Majlak insisted ‘I don’t know. Maybe he was f***ing hungry.’
Mangione was arrested after he was spotted at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania on December 9. Authorities quickly zeroed in on him, ending his five-day stretch on the run after the shooting.
During the arrest, authorities recovered a 9-millimeter handgun with a 3D-printed receiver, two ammunition magazines, multiple live cartridges, a homemade silencer, and a fake New Jersey ID.
While Paul’s question remained unanswered, Majlak and their guess Evan ‘Dwarf Mamba’ Eckenrode pointed out how even the healthiest people would cheat with a McDonald’s hash brown.
Further in the conversation, they reacted to the praise Mangione is praising despite the act he allegedly committed.
‘I don’t think you can just murder someone,’ Paul said. ‘That’s the problem with it. If he does have blood on his hands, this CEO, allegedly… How many lives would make it okay?’
Mangione was flown to New York City and given a dystopian-looking perp walk which saw him flanked by multiple police officers and NYC Mayor Eric Adams.
He was hit with federal murder and stalking charges this week over the December 4 shooting.
