Livvy Dunne has shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Baywatch filming after the former gymnast landed her first major acting role in the reboot series.

The former LSU star, 23, is one of many standout recruits to the star-studded cast of the remake of the ’90s cult classic.

The social media sensation has already been in action shooting alongside her castmates, including fellow Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Brooks Nader, actresses Hassie Harrison, Shay Mitchell and Jessica Belkin, and TikTok personality Noah Beck, in Malibu.

And Dunne offered fans a peek at the ‘best set in the world’ as she shared behind-the-scenes snaps from all the beach action to her Instagram story.

The athlete kept it casual in a petrol blue athleisure co-ord set, posing with her head propped in her hands as she sat cross-legged on the sand.

The Pacific Ocean could be seen rippling onto the shore behind her, while the setting sun cast a stunning warm glow across the sky.

In a separate photo, Dunne posed for a selfie with her castmates Mitchell and Harrison, tagging the pair in the post.

Mitchell, who is best known for her role in Pretty Little Liars, flung her arms into the air as she beamed for the photo. She sported a white crew-neck sweater that appeared to have ‘Baywatch’ printed across the right corner in the show’s signature red.

Meanwhile, Harrison offered a glimpse of Baywatch’s iconic crimson swimsuit, which peeked out from underneath her white tank top.

Dunne officially wrapped up her gymnastic career last year after her fifth and final season with the LSU Tigers, opening up the door to other ventures.

However, juggling her filming responsibilities and her personal life has become tougher in recent weeks following the start of the MLB season.

Dunne is in a relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes and makes a concerted effort to attend almost all the games he starts.

Her loving support of the reigning NL Cy Young winner has meant Dunne is frequently jetting across the country to cram in her busy schedule.

In the past week alone, Dunne has watched Skenes pitch twice, filmed Baywatch and even attended the Coachella festival in California to watch Justin Bieber’s headline set.

‘Wake up, watch MLB boyfriend pitch,’ she began in a recent TikTok video listing her jampacked schedule.

‘Jet to LA. Film an episode of Baywatch. Surprise trip to Palm Springs. Attends Bieberchella. Attends Justin and Hailey’s afterparty. No sleep. Back to Pittsburgh still a little drunk. Watches MLB boyfriend strike out 400th person. Jets back to LA with best friend. Film another episode of Baywatch. Bieberchella all over again.’

Dunne, who is making her acting debut, has been cast in a recurring role as a junior lifeguard in the Baywatch reboot.

In September, Fox announced they were ‘reimagining’ the iconic series with a 12-episode order for the 2026-2027 season.

The new show follows Hobie Buchannon (originally played by Jeremy Jackson) as he steps into the role of Baywatch captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father Mitch Buchannon (originally played by David Hasselhoff), joined by a new generation of lifeguards patrolling the Los Angeles coastline.

When the casting choices were revealed, many were shocked to see social media stars like Dunne and Nader among the lifeguard team – better known for their Instagram following than their acting chops.

Despite the vocal backlash, the cast seems to be embracing the opportunity. Last month, Dunne had revealed how excited she was to try and carve out an acting career.

‘It’s something I’ve been passionate about for quite some time. I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you’re a student-athlete at school,’ she said.

‘And now that I’m done with school, I have more time to lean into the acting stuff and the creative side of things.

‘Whether it’s gymnastics or acting in a movie or a TV show, I just think watching all your hard work pay off, whether it’s an individual thing or a group thing, I think it’s so cool.’
