Right, here we go – Galatasaray have beaten Liverpool twice this season but never here, and they’ll have to do without any travelling support.

Arne Slot urges Liverpool to embrace pressure of second leg
Arne Slot has admitted he is feeling the pressure but urged his side to embrace it against Galatasaray.
“Of course I feel pressure, we all feel pressure, because we are in an industry where every single day you’re in this industry there’s pressure,” the Liverpool manager said. “We’re working at a beautiful club with a great, great history and we feel this. We can achieve the quarter-finals of the Champions League, so, yeah, that comes with pressure.
“But it’s also nice to have that pressure because we could have also been out or playing at a lower level or not even be in. So we embrace this pressure and we’re looking forward to playing Galatasaray tomorrow.”

PSG next up
It would be defending champions Paris Saint-Germain next up, incidentally, for the winner of tonight’s tie. They were in uber impressive form against Chelsea last night.

Arne Slot accepts blame for Anfield boos as Liverpool boss aims to win back fans
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has conceded he “must have done a lot of things wrong” to provoke the ire of Anfield supporters, as he seeks to mend relations with frustrated fans.
The Dutchman faced a public backlash for the first time since his arrival in summer 2024, with the team booed off the pitch after conceding a 90th-minute equaliser to Tottenham on Sunday.
While discontent has simmered on social media throughout the season, last weekend marked the first occasion home fans expressed their disapproval so overtly.

Liverpool as expected – and with an advantage
Arne Slot makes the changes he was probably expected to – four in total, bringing back Mohamed Salah, Hugo Ekitike, Ibrahima Konate and Milos Kerkez for Rio Ngumoha, Cody Gakpo, Joe Gomez and Andy Robertson. Liverpool have lost twice to Galatasaray this season, failing to score in either game. The Turkish champions are out for a hat-trick but, due to past behaviour by their crowd in other games, have no travelling supporters at Anfield tonight.
