Trains have been delayed or cancelled after an emergency on a railway line.
Northern Railway said services had been suspended on the route between Huyton and Earlestown in Merseyside.
A number of trains between Liverpool and Manchester have been cancelled or delayed, with disruption expected to last until 10:00 BST.
Merseyside Police said officers were called after there were reports of concern for someone’s welfare, but that British Transport Police (BTP) was handling the incident.
