Liverpool have made a second bid for Marc Guehi of £35million plus a ten percent sell on clause.

Crystal Palace have countered by asking for £35m plus £5m in add ons for the England defender.

As Daily Mail Sport reported, Liverpool first proposed £35m to Palace after the Community Shield.

Palace have asked about taking Liverpool’s Joe Gomez on loan in a separate deal but the Anfield club refused.

Gomez is also on AC Milan’S list though they are focusing on MANCHESTER CITY’s Manuel Akanji.

Palace are progressing with a £22.5m deal for Toulouse’s 19-year-old Jaydee Canvot.

Liverpool have given a new contract to Cody Gakpo while they also anticipate an offer from Red Bull Leipzig for £50m-rated Harvey Elliott.

Gakpo told Liverpoolfc.com: ‘It feels amazing to extend the contract here at this beautiful club. I’m very grateful and hopefully I can give back many more beautiful moments.

‘I feel at home, my family feels at home and that’s also a big decision always. They feel good. I’m very happy at the club, a good group, good teammates, so the life around the football itself is very good and I enjoy every moment of it. I’m very grateful that I can extend.’
