Liverpool moved 13 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win over Newcastle at Anfield.
After securing an impressive win over Manchester City on Sunday, Liverpool started the game strongly and went in front after just 11 minutes through Dominik Szoboszlai.
Callum Wilson missed a glorious chance to bring Newcastle level before the break after starting in place of the injured Alexander Isak, and he was made to pay as Alexis Mac Allister doubled Liverpool’s advantage just after the hour mark, and the Reds comfortably saw the game out.
