F1 legend Lewis Hamilton has once again left his legion of fans stunned, this time by posting a simple social media post that showcases the 40-year-old’s exceptional physique.

The seven-time world champion, who joined Ferrari from rivals Mercedes at the end of last season, has shown he’s just as competitive in the gym as he is on the grid.

In a rare move for the British driver, Lewis shared a shirtless gym video and selfie to Instagram following a workout session on Tuesday.

The photo shows off a physique that rivals top athletes half his age, and proves that Hamilton still takes his training very seriously.

On display was a peek at his sculpted six pack, muscular legs and shoulders – and it did not escape the attention of his many followers.

‘Lewis Hamilton thirst traps are back,’ posted one X user.

Lewis Hamilton, 40, has once again left fans stunned by showing off his exceptional physique

‘Podium incoming. He seems to be channeling the 2017 LH,’ said another.

‘My goodness. We want more,’ replied a third.

One reason for Hamilton’s exceptional fitness can be attributed to him being recently reunited with his long-time physiotherapist and trainer, Angela Cullen.

Cullen, 50, accompanied Hamilton through four of his six world championship successes at Mercedes, and was his chief confidante and assistant. She was regularly seen bunching his hair or even carrying his umbrella on the grid.

The pair were also inseparable during Covid lockdown when members of the travelling F1 community were forbidden from seeing anyone outside their ‘bubbles’ of two or three people.

So it was a shock when they parted company early in the 2023 season, for reasons unknown.

Her reappearance in Italy indicates that Hamilton is searching for every spark he can to reignite his career as he embarks on what could be his final hurrah at Ferrari.

Hamilton once said of Cullen, a mother of two: ‘She’s the single hardest-working woman that I get to be around.

The British Formula 1 icon was one of the co-chairs for this year’s Met Gala

‘She’s focused, selfless and makes my weekends peaceful.

‘Every day I wake up, whatever time it is, she’s just positive. Never a single day has she been negative. That’s very important.’

Earlier in the month, Hamilton had the honour of acting as one of the co-chairs for this year’s Met Gala.

The British superstar took to Instagram afterwards as he reflected on this year’s theme and what it meant to him as he wrote: ‘Now we’re seen.’

This year’s theme was ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,’ inspired by Monica Miller’s work, which includes her book Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.

In a lengthy post Lewis penned: ‘It’s hard to put into words what it means to co-chair this year’s Met.

‘This year’s theme speaks to royalty, spirituality, and the sacred power of adornment. Materials like ivory and cowrie aren’t just beautiful—they carry ancestral memory. They are markers of identity, protection, and reverence.’

He continued: ‘I’m deeply grateful to the Costume Institute at The Met, to Grace Wales Bonner, to the incredible co-chairs, and to everyone who continues to honor the legacy of the Black Dandy.

‘We’ve always been here. We’ve always been fly. And now, we’re seen.’
