Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes is emerging as a summer target for Leicester City and Millwall.

The 30-year-old has been impressing at Championship rivals Charlton Athletic after signing a short-term deal in January and will be a free agent at the end of the season.

Dykes left Birmingham City at the turn of the year as he wanted more game time so he could be sharp enough for Scotland and manager Steve Clarke ahead of the World Cup in USA.

Leicester and Millwall both showed interest in January but Charlton moved quickest to sign him up.

Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes has scored twice since moving on loan to Charlton

The centre forward, who faced former club Birmingham on Saturday, has scored twice, including one against Leicester, and provided four assists since making the move to the Valley.

He has started the last ten games under Nathan Jones so is finding the rhythm he desired as he looks to cement his place in Clarke’s World Cup squad.

Millwall are pushing for promotion following victory over Hull City on Saturday so their league status will dictate who they bring in but Dykes as a free transfer is on their radar.

Leicester are struggling to stay in the division the other end but again with financial restrictions will weigh up an offer for Australian-born Dykes at the end of the season.
