Tommy Tuberville, the Alabama senator and legendary college football coach, has torn into Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her attack on young American men earlier this week.
The New York Democrat said in a town hall with Bernie Sanders on Wednesday that the Republican party had managed to ‘radicalize’ young men on Donald Trump’s path to returning to the White House last year.
‘They are able to radicalize and target and exploit a generation of young boys, in particular, away from healthy masculinity and into an insecure masculinity that requires a domination of others who are poorer, browner, darker or a different gender than them,’ AOC said.
SEC championship-winning coach Tuberville – a coach involved in the college and high school game for 40 years before entering politics – slammed Ocasio-Cortez for her comments and said they will remain in the political wilderness if they continues to attack young men.
‘When I was coaching, I taught my players that this is the greatest country in the world, and if you work hard, the sky is the limit for what you can achieve – no matter what you look like,’ Tuberville told Fox.
‘Unfortunately, woke Democrats have spent the past 20 years telling young men they are “racist”, “sexist” and “toxic” simply for being men. But it didn’t stop there.

‘Democrats tried to prevent men from getting jobs just because of their skin color and also tried to baselessly cancel them during the ‘Me Too’ movement.
‘It’s no wonder that more than half of the young men in this country voted for President Trump in the 2024 election. If Democrats don’t stop demonizing men, they may never win an election again.’
Trump managed to manoeuvre the vote among young men and made a point of appearing on podcasts and YouTube shows popular with a male audience, such as ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ and Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Tuberville, meanwhile, left football in 2016 after his stint as head coach of Cincinnati.
He is best known for his nine years leading Auburn, where he won the SEC and established a period of dominance over fierce state-rival Alabama.
