Las Vegas Raiders offensive line coach Brennan Carroll has gone viral after fans noticed him continuously rolling his eyes during a bizarre interview this week.
The 46-year-old is the son of head coach Pete Carroll, and has enjoyed a number of roles on his father’s coaching staff over the past 10 years.
His mostly behind-the-scenes role on the staff means that he is rarely thrust into the spotlight for interviews, but this week he was questioned by Vegas Sports Today at the team’s facility in Nevada.
The interview itself was fairly innocuous, with Carroll speaking about the struggles of his offensive line and how they can improve, and it was instead the odd habit of the coach that has seen the video rack up hundreds of thousands of views online.
‘I’m freaked out,’ one viewer wrote on X, while another added: ‘What’s up with the Halloween half-blink?’
A third claimed he ‘looks like the Undertaker’, referencing a similar look the WWE icon regularly pulled out in the 90s.

A fourth, meanwhile, joked: ‘Can’t even look [the interviewer] in the eye with the type of performance he’s coaching.’
The reason for Carroll’s constant eye-rolling is as yet unclear, but Cleveland Clinic reports that it can often be congenital, or acquired from factors like medication, or an inner ear disorder.
The Raiders are enduring a difficult season so far, starting the season 2-5 to sit bottom of the AFC West, as the only team in the division with a losing record.

Last weekend saw them shut out by the improving Kansas City Chiefs in a 31-0 mauling, and Las Vegas now has a bye before hosting Jacksonville on November 2.
Carroll has been the team’s O-line coach since his father arrived at the franchise earlier this year, and prior to that he had spent four years in the college game, with Arizona and then Washington.
He has previously been under his father’s tutelage at USC, Seattle and Las Vegas – all three of Pete’s most recent jobs since the turn of the century.
