Funding for capital projects to either purchase new assets or support the refurbishment of existing assets.

This scheme closes at midday on Friday 16 October 2026.

Who it is for

Eligible Applicants

  • Groups must be community based/not for personal profit.
  • Projects must be located in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area.
  • Projects must meet the required programme aims and objectives.

Support you can get

The Large Capital Project Fund is to fund Capital projects only, where the project value is greater than £3,000. Capital funding can be used to either purchase new assets or support the refurbishment of existing assets.

Funding between £2,501 and £20,000 is available (max rate 50% of eligible costs).

The Large Capital Project Fund is often used as match funding for a larger project such as

  • Purchasing a building, land or a facility
  • Making repairs to an existing asset (eg roof or structural repairs)
  • Completing renovations or refurbishments (eg kitchen facilities, grounds improvements)
  • Delivering capital works to improve accessibility (eg ramps) or to increase use (eg floodlights, walking paths)
  • Improving energy efficiency (eg replacing windows or heating system)
