Lara Trump, President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, has said that Ivanka Trump is the member of the family most likely to offer “unsolicited advice” without being consulted.
Appearing on The Katie Miller Podcast, hosted by the wife of Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller, Trump, 43, answered a series of rapid-fire questions about the family she joined by marrying Eric Trump in 2014.
“Who gives the most unsolicited advice?” Miller asked at one stage.

“Maybe Ivanka,” her guest answered. “I feel like she wants to help. Like, she always means so well. But you know, it’s OK. We take it all in stride. It’s all good.”
Less ambiguously, she also named her sister-in-law, 44, as the best gift-giver come the holidays.
“God, and we’re the worst,” the former Fox News host confessed.
“Eric and I are the absolute worst. I mean, she remembers everything. My kids’ birthdays, every single time. Don’t ask me when the last time was I sent my nieces and nephews an actual birthday gift on time, because I always fail. I’m the worst.”
Ivanka Trump was one of the most visible members of her father’s first administration between 2017 and 2021, serving as an adviser along with her husband, Jared Kushner, a fellow New York real estate scion.
While Kushner is back and working closely with Steve Witkoff on peace negotiations around the world, Ivanka has been much more inclined to stay out of the limelight this time around, preferring to raise her children in the relative solitude of Surfside, Florida – although she has also helped to organize food drives for war-torn Ukraine.
Her elder brothers, Donald Trump Jr and Eric, are also out of the political fray, managing the Trump Organization’s interests, although both have a long history of stepping up to the rally stage to campaign on their father’s behalf come election time.
One of Ivanka’s last significant political engagements came in June 2022 when she appeared before the House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack and said she did not share her father’s belief that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him and said she agreed with then-attorney general Bill Barr’s assessment that there was “zero basis” for thinking otherwise.

Another interesting insight offered by Lara Trump came when Miller asked, “Who is most likely to call just to check in?”
“I would say my father-in-law,” Trump answered. “He loves a good late-night random call, early morning chit-chat.”
She said the last text message she received from the president was “a video that the White House put out, and it just said, ‘Love, DJT.’
“It was like a video of some, like, bombing. He’s proud of it. It was good.”
On her own podcast this week, The Right View with Lara Trump, the aspiring country singer also spilled the beans on another secretive member of the clan, Barron Trump, 20, currently a student at New York University’s Stern School of Business based on its Washington campus.
“I don’t know if he knows that the internet is obsessed with him,” his sister-in-law said of him.
“I think he knows that there is a lot of interest. But that’s why he likes to lay low. That’s why he likes to play it cool. That’s why you don’t see him all the time.”
