All-rounder George Balderson will captain Lancashire in their One-Day Cup campaign.
This will be a first spell of senior captaincy for the bowling all-rounder with Championship skipper James Anderson not featuring in the competition.
Balderson, 25, has played over 100 games for Lancashire across all formats since his debut in 2020.
“This club means so much to me, having come through the academy here, so to be given the opportunity to lead the side out this summer in the 50-over competition is special,” he said, external.
Lancashire start against Surrey at Sedbergh on Tuesday and will also play two matches at their new Farington base during the competition.
