Los Angeles Lakers players Darius Bazley was forced to leave their summer league game against the Boston Celtics on Thursday night in a wheelchair.

The 25-year-old went down with what appeared to be a leg injury during the second quarter of the game in Las Vegas after trying to drive towards the basket.

The 2019 first round draft pick was unable to get back to his feet and instead crawled around the floor in agony.

Teammates rushed to his aide but couldn’t help him stand up and eventually medics brought on a wheelchair.

Bazley looked to be in serious discomfort as he was loaded into the chair before being taken back to the locker room to be checked out.

At present, the extent of Bazley’s injury is unclear.

Bazley was drafted by the Utah Jazz with the 23rd overall pick in 2019 before being immediately traded to the Memphis Grizzlies and then to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He has played 237 NBA games during his five seasons as a pro, averaging 8.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Bazley has also had spells with the Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA before arriving at the Lakers earlier this year.
