Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was brutally humbled after trolling Lakers newbie Jake LaRavia, who ended up playing a crucial role in his team’s victory.
Los Angeles moved to 3-2 for the season after their dramatic 116-115 win over Minnesota, which was clinched by a stunning buzzer-beater from Austin Reaves.
Amid injuries to Luka Doncic and LeBron James, it was up to Reaves and LaRavia to lead the team and they did just that – despite being heckled by superstar Edwards.
During the fourth quarter of the game, a now-viral clip showed Timberwolves fans chanting ‘Who is number 12’ in reference to Lakers newbie LaRavia.
Edwards – who was sidelined with a hamstring injury – was seen yelling: ‘That’s what I’m saying! I don’t know!’
Well, he certainly knew by the end of the night. Though it was Reaves who scored the decisive bucket to win the game, LaRavia deserved just as much credit for the win.

Injured Timberwolves star Edwards joined fans in asking: ‘Who is number 12’ on the night
LaRavia, who was picked up in the offseason by the Lakers, scored 27 points after shooting 10-for-11 from the field – 5-for-6 on three-point attempts – and picking up eight rebounds and two assists during the win over Minnesota.
Meanwhile, teammate Reaves also continued his impressive form of late.
After dropping 51 points against the Kings, he produced 41 points against Portland before hitting the buzzer-beater against the Timberwolves.
He ended the night with 28 points and 16 rebounds on the night and, in the process, etched his name into NBA history.
He became just the seventh player ever – and just the second Laker – to record 25+ points and 5+ assists in each of his first five games of a season.
Lakers fans will be hoping he can maintain such form amid the injury struggles of big names such as Doncic and James.
Slovenian star Doncic has been ruled out for a week due to finger and leg injuries, while James has been battling a sciatica issue throughout the offseason.

Despite his antics, there was no bad blood between Edwards and the Lakers on Wednesday
During their game against Minnesota earlier in the month, where Doncic scored 49 points, James was spotted on the sidelines passionately cheering on the team.
Meanwhile, for Minnesota, superstar Edwards was ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury, the team announced on Monday afternoon.
The 24-year-old had enjoyed a strong start to the season but will now miss at least three games for the Timberwolves amid a congested fixture period.
Minnesota are set to take on Charlotte in their next game, while the Lakers will travel to Memphis as they look to keep the wins rolling in.
