The Los Angeles Rams have handed new big-money contract extensions to head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead after the team reached the NFC Championship again this season.

Despite just missing out on the Super Bowl with a loss to the Seattle Seahawks, ownership is putting its faith in the McVay-Snead partnership as they prepare to enter their 10th season with the team.

In a statement released on Monday morning, owner Stan Kroenke said: ‘As we enter their 10th season together, it is only fitting to reflect on the tremendous success Sean and Les have brought to this franchise, and the indelible impact they have made on Los Angeles and the NFL.

‘They continue to embody the standard of this franchise to compete for championships, consistently delivering a product that our fans and city can be proud of.

‘Their collaboration embodies the We Then Me ethos we seek in our players, coaches and staff, and we are thrilled they will be leading the Los Angeles Rams for years to come.’

No specifics have been released regarding salary or the length of the deal, but it is expected to be multi-year, tying them down in LA for the foreseeable future.

McVay became Rams head coach ahead of the 2017 season, and he went on to win the NFL’s Coach of the Year award in his rookie year.

From a 4-12 record the prior year, McVay made an instant impact to take the team to 11-5, before they eventually lost to the Falcons in the Wild Card round.

In the 2018 season things got even better and the Rams made it all the way to the Super Bowl after a 13-3 regular season, McVay in turn becoming the youngest head coach ever in the Big Game.

The Rams lost that game to the Tom Brady-led Patriots, but went on to right their wrongs in the 2021 season, beating the Cincinnati Bengals to win Super Bowl LVI at their home SoFi Stadium.

There have been some changes in coaching staff already since the season ended, with offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur leaving to become the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

The Rams’ HC-GM duo is remaining though, and they will have the No 13 pick in the NFL Draft as they look to prepare to go one better and reach the Super Bowl again next season.

McVay, meanwhile, is enjoying life both in the NFL and away from it, having recently welcomed his second son with Ukrainian model wife Veronika Khomyn.

The pair had their first son, Jordan John, in October 2023 and their second, Christian Alexander, arrived in December 2025.
