Everton have emerged as a potential destination for Kyle Walker this summer as he heads for the Manchester City exit.

Walker spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan but the Italian giants opted against triggering their option to purchase the right back.

The ex-City captain is deemed surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium and is likely to head out on loan again.

Walker ideally wants to remain in the Premier League and is open to the idea of a switch to Merseyside.

David Moyes is looking for another full back with Ashley Young departing and Walker is seen as a perfect fit.

The 36-year-old has hopes of making the World Cup squad next summer and wants to reach a century of England caps before calling time on his career.

Kyle Walker is thought to be gearing up for a year-long move to Everton during the window

The England star made his 96th England appearance during a torrid 3-1 home defeat to Senegal on Tuesday.

In Milan, Walker made 11 appearances after his 15 in sky blue over the first-half of the season.

But despite a stronger start which saw Milan go unbeaten in his first three consecutive starts, the player’s time in Italy quickly soured.

Walker’s form dipped as the team faltered, finishing an uncharacteristically low eighth in the Italian top flight.

National outlet Tuttosport even claimed that failure ‘had the face of Walker’ in a brutal assessment of his career in the country.

Other clubs linked with the player amid uncertainty over his Man City future include Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce.
