“Showtime at the Apollo” co-host Kiki Shepard has died. She was 74.

The beloved co-host of the iconic music show passed away after suffering a “massive” and “completely unexpected” heart attack in Los Angeles on Monday, her rep confirmed in a statement to the Daily Mail.

Born Chiquita Renee Shepard in Tyler, Texas, in 1951, she started as a professional dancer in the 1970s before becoming a fixture in households across America during her 15-year run on the legendary Fox variety show.

Shepard worked with Steve Harvey from 1987 to 2002 and helped kickstart the careers of several famous artists at the historic Harlem theater.

Beyond Harvey, Shepard also co-hosted with other famous names like Sinbad and Mo’Nique.

Dubbed the “Apollo Queen of Fashion,” Shepard starred in scripted shows like “NYPD Blue,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Everybody Hates Chris” and “Baywatch” as well.

As for film, she appeared in “Dolls of Voodoo,” “A Rage in Harlem,” Miss Evers’ Boys” and “Blackjack Christmas.”

Shepard’s credits also extended to Broadway with performances in “Bubbling Brown Sugar,” Reggae,” “Your Arms Too Short to Box With God” and “Porgy and Bess.”

Fans rushed to social media following the news of Shepard’s death to pay tribute.

“Kiki Shepard leaves behind a legacy that is both timeless and deeply felt,” BET wrote on X.

“OMG…RIP Mrs Shepard,” added another. “I enjoyed your light and beauty.”
