Kid Rock faced significant public criticism on social media following a performance that viewers claimed was poorly lip-synced on Sunday.
The performance took place during the ‘All-American Halftime Show,’ a broadcast produced by Turning Point USA to serve as a direct alternative to the NFL’s show.
The event was scheduled to counter the official Super Bowl LX halftime performance by Bad Bunny, which took place at Levi’s Stadium during the championship game.
However, after pulling in nearly five million concurrent viewers on the night, fans couldn’t help but point out one supposed flaw in the evening’s show.
Shortly after the livestream ended, fans rushed to X to claim that Kid Rock had lip-synced his performance – and not in a subtle way.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: ‘Kid Rock doesn’t know how to lip sync his own songs’.

‘That was the worst lip sync I’ve ever seen #KidRockHalftime wow that was sad,’ another fan said on social media.
‘Why kid rock lip sync everything??,’ one fan wrote, before another similarly added: ‘Are we not gonna talk about the Kid Rock lip sync malfunction?’
Kid Rock headlined the alternative MAGA halftime show, with Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett also performing.
The initial plan was for the show to also be broadcast on X, but that was thrown into chaos just minutes before it was due to start and the stream was pulled.
In a statement, Turning Point USA said: ‘UPDATE: Due to licensing restrictions, we are unable to stream The All-American Halftime Show on X. Head on over to our YouTube channel tonight around 8PM ET to watch the full show.’
And that’s exactly what many fans did, with the stream peaking at over a remarkable 5 million viewers midway through the show.
At the end of the show, cameras zoomed out from Kid Rock and his guitar to reveal photos of Kirk, his wife Erica and their children, alongside the words: ‘In Remembrance of Charlie Kirk.’
In a statement earlier in the week, Kid Rock had told fans: ‘We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath. Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible… or is it?’

Kid Rock’s supposed lip-synced performance came shortly after NFL fans were left convinced that Charlie Puth’s rendition of the national anthem at Super Bowl LX was similarly lip-synced.
Puth raised eyebrows with a ‘special arrangement’ of the Star-Spangled Banner – featuring a series of highly unusual vocal runs that left the crowd stunned.
While some enjoyed the performance, others questioned whether Puth had lip-synced his performance and quickly rushed to social media to gain clarity.
The pregame ceremonies also featured Brandi Carlile’s rendition of ‘America the Beautiful’ and Coco Jones’ performance of ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing.’
Later in the day, Bad Bunny took to the field for the Super Bowl halftime show.
The NFL polarized fans with its decision to choose the Puerto Rican rapper and his Spanish-only songs for the big game in San Francisco, and many voted with their fingers to turn off NBC and load up YouTube and Rumble instead.
