Prince Andrew’s interview with Newsnight is back in the spotlight following the publication of a memoir by Virginia Giuffre.
The interview, broadcast in November 2019, saw the prince speak to former Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis.
Some comments Prince Andrew made in the interview are now back in the spotlight.
In her memoir, Ms Giuffre alleged that she had sex with Prince Andrew on three separate occasions.
In 2019, Prince Andrew said he had no recollection of ever meeting Ms Giuffre, and has always denied wrongdoing.
He also said he cut off contact with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in December 2010, but new emails suggest they were still in touch two months later.
Prince Andrew gave up his royal titles, including the Duke of York, last week, after extracts from Ms Giuffre’s memoir made headlines.
