⏳ Reading Time 2 minutes

The end of the 2025/26 tax year is approaching quickly. Given the rapidly looming deadline, there are some important details to take note of.

Remember that our team will be on hand to help through the Easter bank holiday weekend between 3rd and 6th April. Our opening times through those days will be from 10am to 4pm.

Important details

  • The deadline for bank transfers is 5th April for ISAs, however, to avoid any disappointment, please try to send before 6pm (or even on earlier days). For pensions the deadline is earlier on the 1st April, considering the Easter bank holiday coming in the middle of tax year-end. This means that the money needs to be transferred one working day before the deadline, for us to receive it and record it in time. Considering that Thursday 2nd April is the last day before the Easter holidays, this means that if you transfer then the contribution will be allocated for the new tax year.
  • It is important that last-minute payments have the correct payment reference. The reference dictates where in the account money is allocated. The reference is provided in the bank transfer journey and is also emailed to you (if that portfolio is chosen as the destination).
  • Payments made on Thursday 2nd after 6pm will not appear until the 8th – as we allocate to the custodian on the next working day. Please note that these will be retroactively backdated for ISAs/JISAs only.
  • If you send the money after 6pm, it may not hit our accounts that day, but if you provide proof that the money was sent before midnight, then we can backdate the contribution once it lands in your ISA.
  • Money inside your account in available cash or not inside a wrapper in your account will not be deemed to be inside your ISA. So if you want this to be counted towards your allowances, please move it inside the portfolio before the 5th.
  • Transfers must also be made from registered and verified bank accounts to ensure the funds are received successfully.
  • For business/employer contributions into your pension, please contact us so that we can send you the details you need to arrange a bank transfer into your pension. If it is a new business contribution, you will have to contact us to get this set up. You can do this by calling us on 0800 433 4574.

It’s also important to note that all payments should be made to MFM Investments Limited. Payments made to any other account name may be unsuccessful. Transfers must also be made from registered bank accounts to ensure the funds are received successfully. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team.
