Sir Keir Starmer has made it clear that while the United Kingdom played no part in the initial strikes on Iran on Saturday morning (28 February), British military is now “in the sky” in a coordinated response and defence against Iran.
Starmer called the regime in Iran “abhorrent,” warning they should never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon.
Signalling his support for U.S. allies the prime minister said, “Our forces are active and British planes are in the sky today as part of regional coordinated defensive operations to protect our people, our interests and our allies.”
