Gracie Hunt, the daughter of billionaire Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, has shared an emotional behind-the-scenes look at her engagement to boyfriend Derek Green.

On Saturday evening, Hunt, 27, shared news of her engagement with a post on social media, along with a series of pictures from the romantic desert proposal.

The stunning setting featured a stage draped in white curtains, flanked by a candlelit walkway for the couple to enjoy, while their families watched on from afar.

Now, two days on from her post, Hunt returned to social media to share a behind-the-scenes look at the day – including the moment that Green got down on one knee.

In a video on her Instagram, which seemed to be filmed by a family member who was present on the day, Hunt was left stunned as she arrived at the proposal spot.

The 27-year-old was smiling from ear to ear as she clambered out of a golf cart which had dropped her at the location, while the reality of the situation quickly set in.

It ended with Green getting down on one knee and placing the ring on Hunt's finger

She turned back to the camera and admitted that she was ‘going to cry’ before making her way down the candlelit walkway towards her soon-to-be husband.

Someone behind the camera could be heard saying ‘he’s waiting for you’ as the Chiefs heiress slowly made her way to the stage.

Hunt eventually met her beau – dressed in a slim-fitting grey suit – at the end of the walkway, where they locked hands while photographers scurried into position.

Once everything was set, and Hunt’s tears had been wiped away, Green got down on one knee and popped the question.

Once Hunt had said yes, they had a brief kiss before he placed the ring on her finger.

In the video’s comment section, Ava Hunt – Gracie’s sister – wrote: ‘Gets me every time [crying emojis]’.

When she initially broke the news of their engagement, Hunt also showed off the stunning diamond-encrusted split shank ring which Green had got for her.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Gracie wrote, ‘It was always you,’ and included a Bible verse from Romans 8:28 to celebrate their engagement.

The engagement was a family affair, with Chiefs CEO and owner Clark spotted alongside his family as they watched the heartwarming moment from afar.

The couple went public with their relationship back in April 2025.

Both Hunt and Green attended Southern Methodist University, with Green later playing football at Long Island University and for several teams across Europe.

Green is the son of former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green, who led the team for six seasons, marking a literal merger of two NFL families.

In August last year, Hunt revealed how she had become ‘inseparable’ from her new boyfriend during the NFL offseason.
