Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi is being traded back to the Kansas City Chiefs from the New York Jets.
The 29-year-old was selected by Kansas City in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. He went on to play 133 games and win three Super Bowls alongside Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Co.
Nnadi joined the Jets back in March, after the defensive tackle became an unrestricted free agent.
But five months on, as reported by ESPN, the 29-year-old is returning to Kansas City. The teams will also swap conditional sixth- and seventh-round picks in the 2027 draft.
It comes two years after wide receiver Mecole Hardman made the same back-and-forth journey between New York and Kansas City.
Hardman spent four seasons with the Chiefs before joining the Jets ahead of the start of the 2023 season in a deal worth up to $6.5 million.

Midway through the campaign, however, the receiver was traded back to the Chiefs and he went on to score the winning touchdown at Super Bowl LVIII.
Nnadi was also part of that Chiefs team that beat the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. That earned him a third Super Bowl ring in his first six NFL seasons.
Nnadi was a full-time starter between 2018 and 2023 but he lost his place last season before entering free agency.
The Chiefs kick off the 2025 campaign against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil on September 5.
