Jake Paul’s speed skating fiancee, Jutta Leerdam, opted to skip the Winter Olympics’ opening ceremony on Friday night – after being criticized for her ‘diva’ behavior.
Ahead of the Games officially getting underway, athletes from across the world took center stage as they paraded through the San Siro in Milan to greet eager spectators.
However, one athlete who did not attend the ceremony was Netherlands’ Leerdam who, instead, shared a picture of her watching the event while tucked up in bed.
Taking to her Instagram story on Friday, she shared a picture of the Netherlands team as they marched through and captioned it with the nation’s flag and a heart emoji.
Leerdam’s decision to skip the event comes after she was branded a ‘prima donna’ and ‘diva’ following her decision to fly to the Winter Olympics on a private jet.
Earlier this week, Jake Paul’s speed skater fianceee documented her private flight to Milan-Cortina on Instagram.

With her entourage in tow, Leerdam was greeted onto the jet with custom flags and handmade cupcakes with a message of support written on them.
The jet’s television screen had also been transformed to an orange background with Leerdam’s picture on it. Jake Paul commented on the post, writing: ‘Time to shine’.
Upon her arrival, Leerdam then appeared to take a private car with her friends to the athletes’ village and then posed for selfies in front of the iconic Olympic rings before starting to practice.
Leerdam’s antics have reportedly not gone down well back home and former Dutch soccer player turned analyst Johan Derksen did not hold back on the 27-year-old beauty.
He said: ‘She should want it of her own accord. She’s already living like a millionaire, with private jets and everything.
‘Her behavior is horrible to me, like that of a diva. If I were her coach, I wouldn’t tolerate that.
‘Gradually the whole of the Netherlands is starting to get a bit fed up with her behavior.”
De Telegraaf analyst Valentijn Driessen also revealed that Leerdam’s picture has appeared almost everywhere in the build up to the games.

Jake Paul’s fiancee chose not to fly with the rest of the Dutch team to Milan-Cortina
‘Everywhere along the highway you see: “Support Jutta, support Jutta”,’ she wrote. ‘I think she’s the only Dutch representative for the entire Olympic Games.’
Leerdam may have been thrust into the spotlight thanks to her romance with renowned YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, but the blonde beauty has made a name for herself in her own right.
The Dutch athlete is a highly successful speed skater who has swept up World Championship titles and an Olympic silver medal at the 2022 Winter Games.
Meanwhile, elsewhere at the Winter Olympics opening ceremony, Team USA and JD Vance were met with a chorus of boos as they arrived on Friday night.
While spirits were high throughout the event, when Team USA marched through the stadium, they were met with a chorus of boos from furious Italian fans inside.
To make matters worse, the jeering only got louder when United States Vice President JD Vance was shown on screen following recent protests against the deployment of the US’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at the Olympics.
Team USA were lead by flagbearers Erin Jackson, a speed skater, and Frankie del Luca, part of the nation’s bobsleigh team, as they entered the stadium.
Despite the boos, both Team USA’s athletes and JD Vance appeared in good spirits as they greeted the gathered fans in attendance.
