Soon-to-be-father Josh Allen is convinced he is just months away from completing his fairytale story both on and off the football field.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback and reigning NFL MVP is set for a life-changing 2026 after wife Hailee Steinfeld recently announced they are expecting their first child together.

After tying the knot in May of this year, the couple revealed in a heartwarming post on Instagram last week that Steinfeld is pregnant, meaning two will become three at some point next year.

And as he prepares to start a family with the actress and singer, Allen now wants to add ‘the icing on the cake’ to his ‘joyous’ life by finally guiding the Bills to Super Bowl glory, an insider has told Daily Mail.

‘Josh’s life is so unbelievable and joyous right now that if he were to add a Super Bowl win to the mix, it would be like living a dream,’ the source said. ‘He’s got the life, the career, the girl… having a Super Bowl ring this year and in years to come would be the icing on the cake.

‘He believes that this is the year, he also believed the past years in the playoffs were his year as well, just because he is a confident guy.

‘He’s eager to get through it healthy as what he has seen from Patrick [Mahomes]’s injury is that nothing is promised. So he is taking every moment to heart as it is very important to him to get Buffalo that championship and he will do everything he can to achieve it.’

Unlike in four of the five previous years, Allen’s Super Bowl dream will not be ended by arch-nemesis Mahomes this season after the Kansas City Chiefs were officially eliminated from playoff contention last weekend.

The Chiefs got the better of the Bills in both the 2024 and 2020 AFC Championship games, as well as the Divisional round of the playoffs in 2021 and 2023.

Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals, who have also failed to make the postseason, are the only other team to defeat Buffalo in the playoffs over the previous five years.

Though regardless of his two great rivals no longer blocking the path, Allen knows it will still be a challenge to lead the Bills to their first ever Super Bowl win.

‘Like every year for Josh, it is about getting the Bills into the Super Bowl and winning it,’ the insider added. ‘And if this happens to be the year, he knows that he will hear it both positively and negatively based on who he ends up playing in the playoffs, especially with his main on field foe, Patrick Mahomes not being there.

‘Would he rather have to face Kansas City? That is no longer here nor there. He understands the competition will be intense; it will not be easy to get to the Super Bowl, let alone win it. So how that all turns out will be an experience he is ready for regardless of who is on the other side of the field.’

Allen spearheaded a comeback for the ages last week as Buffalo fought back from a 21-point deficit to topple the in-form New England Patriots.

However, the rallying efforts appeared to come at a cost for the 29-year-old, who was captured feeling the effects of the hard-fought 35-31 victory.

While many would expect Steinfeld to be suffering with morning sickness, it was actually Allen who was throwing up.

Deep in the midst of the Bills’ comeback, he was caught vomiting near Buffalo’s bench inside Gillette Stadium.

The CBS broadcast captured his incident as he prepared to return to the field and respond to Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson’s 65-yard touchdown run.

Allen and the 10-4 Bills visit the Cleveland Browns this weekend, with another win required to keep the pressure on the 11-3 Patriots in the race for the AFC East top spot.
