Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart survived an injury scare to lead the New York Giants to a 34-17 upset win over the rival Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, and even shared a high five with an official along the way.

Starting his third NFL game since being promoted ahead of veteran Russell Wilson, the first-round pick out of Ole Miss had, perhaps, the most impressive performance of his young career, completing 17 of 25 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown.

And unlike last week’s loss to the New Orleans Saints, when he tossed a pair of interceptions, Dart didn’t commit any turnovers on Thursday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

But it was Dart’s third-quarter moment with down judge Andy Warner that caught the eyes of fans and announcer Al Michaels.

With the Giants holding a 20-17 lead and threatening to score from the Eagles’ 1-yard line, Dart handed the ball of to fellow rookie Cam Skattebo, who appeared to get into the end zone on his second effort.

However, Warner raised his arm just shy of the goal line, indicating Skattebo didn’t score on the play. Dart then approached Warner, whose arm remained upright, before giving the official a quick high-five.

Jaxson Dart decided to give a high five to one official, who marked the ball down at the 1

Ultimately replay assist indicated Skattebo did, indeed, score and the Giants’ improved their lead to 27-17 with the ensuing extra point.

Dart later found himself in the medical tent in the third quarter after taking a hard shot to his left shoulder and temple. He remained on the field before being evaluated on the sideline as an impatient Giants head coach Brian Daboll was seen poking his head into the tent to check on his star rookie.

Dart’s impressive performance was toasted online by none other than former NFL coach Jon Gruden.

‘Jaxson Dart has ARRIVED!’ Gruden wrote on X.
